Prime Minister Hun Sen Calls for Peaceful Solution to Russia-Ukraine Crisis

INTERNATIONAL: The Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia,Samdech Hun Sen has called for peaceful dialogue and solution to the Russia-Ukraine crisis.

The Cambodia Premier made the appeal at the press conference on Thursday, February 24, following his bilateral meeting with visiting Malaysia’s Prime Ministrer Dato’ Sri Ismail Sabri bin Yaakob.

“I and the Prime Minister of Malaysia have discussed quietly about the Russia-Ukraine crisis and we want a peaceful solution,” the prime minister has said.

On Thursday morning , Russian forces have started a military operation in Donbass, the eastern region of Ukraine after Russian President Vladimir Putin’s TV declaration. UN Secretary-General H.E. António Guterres has urged Russia to stop its troop from attacking Ukraine.

“Under the present circumstances, I must change my appeal: President Putin, in the name of humanity, bring your troops back to Russia. The conflict must stop now,” the Un Secretary –General has said.
